ECOWON is made by Ecoria Inc., a Korean manufacturer that began developing the grill in 2015. After about ten years of research, the company opened its own factory in Seongju, North Gyeongsang Province, in 2023 and launched the ECOWON grill in 2024. The design is protected by patents, a registered trademark, and design rights in Korea.
